year 5 Work- Maths, spelling and history
For year 5 their day is different,
First, the BELL will ring they will wait for a teacher to take them to their classroom
Once in their classroom they will start MATHS which starts with mentals a math warmup booklet that they have to complete in 10 minutes or less then they will begin with continuing with what they were learning in their math book.
Next is HISTORY they were learning about the GOLD RUSH was at first it was researching tools and creating a timeline then it was getting into groups and coming up with a tool that they will want to create Next they had to build that tool using whatever was in the STEM room
after history is lunch - I would usually head out to go down to the beach with some of the teachers to get food and chat.
After lunch changed a bit with the original activity being Landcare but after a few weeks it ended- essentially Landcare was an activity the kids will do where they go outside of school into the bush to clean it up and plant trees, bushes and plants. This week they just expanded history into its hears an explanation of what they did
